What is Cargo Measure?

Cargo Measure is our experimental LiDAR/AR companion app for iPhone and iPad Pro. Instead of measuring cases with a tape and typing dimensions into a spreadsheet, you point your device at a case, tap three corners of its base, drag the height, and save it — signed into the same Truck Packer account.

How It Works

1. Scan — LiDAR depth and edge detection snap a 3D bounding box around the case. A live reticle aligns to surface normals at 60 fps.
2. Save to manifest — name the case, set quantity, weight, category, and flippable flag on device.
3. Export to Truck Packer — cases are synced to your case library (with dedup), then pre-positioned into a pack using our flat-row packing algorithm. Crew view opens in the browser when export finishes.

Why It Matters

• Build a real case library in minutes — walk the shop and scan every case instead of typing dimensions.
• Accurate to within a couple of centimeters at typical case distances, with auto-scale tuning for small pedal cases up to full anvil trunks.
• Append directly to an existing pack without overlapping entities — great for last-minute add-ons on load-in day.
• Also includes a simple Ruler mode for point-to-point distance measurements in trailers and venues.
