Printable case checklists for the loading dock

The Case Checklist Printer is a free tool from Truck Packer that turns any Crew View pack into a clean, numbered, dock-ready checklist. Every case prints with its sequence number, its name, an optional color dot matching the pack, and a checkbox. The stage manager initials the bottom of the sheet after verifying the count. The result is the paper artifact the loading dock has used since forever, generated in a few clicks from the digital pack you already maintain. Letter, A4, and Legal page sizes; one or two columns; comfortable or compact density; optional QR code linking back to the live pack so anyone holding the paper can scan and reconcile.

How the checklist printer works

Parsing runs entirely in the browser. The tool reads the Case checklist section of a Crew View pack, drops boilerplate (anything that looks like notes, navigation, or page chrome), and produces a clean ordered list of case items. The PDF is generated with jsPDF, so the download is a real vector PDF that stays sharp at any zoom. Exclude any cases you do not want printed and the remaining numbering updates on the fly. Add a production name to the header, flip on the signature line, drop in a QR code linking to the pack, and choose a density that matches whatever paper you have in the production office printer. No upload, no account, no API call.

Frequently asked questions

What is a case checklist and why print it on paper?
A case checklist is a numbered list of every road case in a pack with a checkbox next to each one. The dock crew uses it to count cases off the truck at load-in (and back on at load-out), the stage manager initials each row as cases are verified, and the production manager keeps the signed sheet as an audit trail. Paper still wins on the loading dock: no battery, no glare, no wifi, no app to launch, and a clipboard can be passed hand to hand without unlocking anything. The Case Checklist Printer turns a Truck Packer Crew View pack into the same paper artifact every touring stage manager already knows how to use.
What page sizes and layouts does the checklist support?
Letter (8.5 × 11"), A4 (8.27 × 11.69"), and Legal (8.5 × 14") page sizes, each with a one-column or two-column layout, and two density settings (comfortable for clipboard reading, compact when you want everything on one sheet). The dock crew gets a clean printable artifact regardless of which printer is in the production office or the venue back-of-house.
Can the checklist include a QR code linking back to the pack?
Yes. Toggle "Show QR" and paste the Crew View URL into the QR field. The tool renders a small QR code at the top of the sheet so anyone holding the paper can scan it on their phone and see the live digital pack. This is useful when the dock crew finds a discrepancy and wants to verify against the source of truth without walking back to the production office.
How are cases ordered on the checklist?
Cases print in the load-order sequence you set in the Crew View pack, with the sequence number on the left, the case name in the middle, and a checkbox on the right. Each case can also show a color dot matching the pack color (audio yellow, lighting blue, etc.) so the same color discipline used on the trailer floor carries over to the clipboard. A signature line at the bottom of the sheet gives the stage manager a place to initial after verifying the count.
Do I need a Truck Packer account to use this?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Paste the case checklist text from any Crew View pack (the public read-only view works), choose your page size and options, and click Download PDF. Generation uses jsPDF, so no data leaves your machine and there is no login or upload step.
