v0.10.5: 5,727 Cases in One Searchable Library, and Who You Want Next

Truck Packer v0.10.5 went out on October 18, and the headline is the Manufacturer Library: 5,727 cases from 31 brands, now in one table you can search all at once. It also puts every import (spreadsheet, library, integration) behind one button, makes bulk imports undoable, and adds a handful of fixes. The full notes are on the changelog. Below is what changed, what you've been asking us for, and how to tell us who should be next in the library.

Before this release you browsed the library one manufacturer at a time. If you knew a road case was an SKB but not which one, you clicked into SKB and scrolled. Now the whole catalog is a single table with a collapsed section per manufacturer, and search runs across every brand at once. Type "rack" or a model number and you get every match from Pelican, SKB, Gator and the rest in one list, with dimensions and weights lined up the same way.

The biggest sections are 5 Star Cases (903), SKB (682), Pelican (663), Gator (565) and Milo's (446), with truss from Global Truss, Litec and Eurotruss and speaker and console cases from L-Acoustics, d&b, DiGiCo, EAW and JBL VTX. If you've been building cases by hand from a spec sheet, check the library first. There's a good chance the case is already in there with the right numbers.

Circle Three Designs adds 155 cases

The newest brand in the library is Circle Three Designs, with 155 cases, and Spectrum Sound landed right behind it with 91. That makes 31 manufacturers total. We wrote about the last big batch, and the rows we chose to leave out, in 21 New Brands in the Case Library.

One Import button, three sources, and an undo

The Cases and Containers pages each have a single Import button now. It opens one dialog where you pick a spreadsheet, the Manufacturer Library, or a connected integration like Rentman. Containers get spreadsheet import and a template too, same as cases.

Every bulk import can be undone. Pull 200 cases in from the wrong sheet and the undo removes those rows, plus only the case categories that import created, so nothing you already had gets touched. Import previews and the library table also show dimensions and weights the same way now, truncated instead of rounded, so a 23.75 inch case doesn't quietly turn into 24.

What else is in v0.10.5

• Custom category colors. Case categories can use any color, so audio, lighting and video can match whatever your shop already uses on labels and tape.
• Crew view fix. "View All" in the crew view was only showing the first container on first load. It shows every truck now.
• Link previews. Pack links shared in iMessage, Slack or WhatsApp show a thumbnail of the pack instead of a bare URL.
• Tutorials and Contact in the sidebar. The tutorial videos and a direct line to us are one click from anywhere in the app.

What you asked for in the roadmap vote

In September we asked customers to pick the one thing we should build next. Two ideas tied at 9 votes each: do-not-stack rules for cases that can't have anything on top of them, and bus trailers with wheel wells. The notes that came with the votes were specific, like one from a crew that's in a trailer 95 percent of the time where bumping the wheel well "can be devastating," and another whose pallets can't be stacked at all. "Talk to your pack" got 3, axle weight and balance got 2, and AutoPack 2.0 got 1.

Those votes are what we're working from. One voter asked for ProX in the library, and ProX is in there now with 263 cases. That's the kind of request that's fast for us to turn around.
